What is a pre-warmed mailbox?
A pre-warmed mailbox, also sold as a pre-warmed inbox or pre-warmed email account, is a mailbox that has already spent four to six weeks building a sending history before anyone uses it for outreach. A brand new mailbox has no record, so its first cold campaign looks to a receiving server exactly like a spam run.
Warming means ramping volume slowly, from a couple of sends a day up to around 30, while real opens and replies accumulate. It does not replace a clean list, honest copy or proper opt-out handling.
Buying pre-warmed mailboxes: questions and answers
How do I know the mailboxes were really warmed?
Every mailbox ships with its warmup history: how many days it ran, how many sends and replies it handled, and where those landed. If a mailbox cannot show the history, it is not warmed, it is just old. Ask any provider for this before you pay, including us.
Do I own the domain and the accounts?
Yes. The domain is registered to you and admin access is transferred with the handover, so you can change passwords, add users or move the whole thing elsewhere. Some providers keep both and only rent you the sending; check that before you commit anywhere.
How many emails can I send per mailbox per day?
Thirty is the number we design around. Providers quoting fifty or more are describing what the mailbox technically allows, not what it survives. Three mailboxes on one domain at thirty each is ninety a day per domain, which is where deliverability stays predictable.
Why three mailboxes per domain?
Reputation is scored per domain, not per mailbox. Stacking ten mailboxes on one domain concentrates all the risk in one place, so a single bad list takes down everything. Three keeps the blast radius small, and it is the ratio every serious provider in this market uses.
What happens if a domain gets blacklisted?
We replace it, warm the new one and hand it over at no charge. Blacklisting usually follows list quality rather than infrastructure, so we will also tell you what in the campaign caused it. A provider who replaces the domain without that conversation is selling you the same problem again next month.
Is the first invoice higher than the renewal?
Yes, and it is not a discount framing. The first invoice covers handing over mailboxes that have already been warmed for four to six weeks before you ordered them. From month two you pay the renewal price, which is lower and stays flat.
Can I use these with Smartlead, Instantly or Lemlist?
Yes. They are real Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 accounts, so anything that speaks OAuth or SMTP will connect. Getlead's own sequencer is included with the packs, but nothing locks you into it.
How much do pre-warmed email accounts cost?
Across the market a pre-warmed mailbox runs roughly $6 to $8 a month, against $2 to $3.50 for a fresh one. The gap is the four to six weeks of warmup and the tooling that runs it. Ours start at $39 a month for three mailboxes and a domain, which works out at $13.00 each, dropping to $8.97 at thirty mailboxes. That is above the market rate and deliberately so: the domain is registered in your name, the warmup log is handed over, warmup keeps running while you send, and the sequencer and lead lists come with it rather than as three more invoices.
Are pre-warmed Google Workspace accounts against Google's terms?
No. These are ordinary licensed Google Workspace seats, bought properly and transferred to you as the owner. What breaks terms is bulk unsolicited mail, shared or resold logins, and misrepresenting who is sending. None of that is what warming is. Your sending still has to follow Google's bulk sender rules and local law, whoever supplied the mailbox.
Can I use my own domain instead of buying one?
You can, but it is usually the wrong call for cold email. Sending outreach from your main company domain puts your invoices, contracts and password resets behind the same reputation as your cold campaigns. Separate lookalike domains are the standard practice, and that is what the packs include.
How long until I can send at full volume?
Straight away at the ramped rate, which is thirty a day per mailbox. That is the ceiling we design around, not a limit we impose. Pushing a warmed mailbox to fifty or a hundred a day undoes the warmup within a week, so the honest answer is that full volume comes from more mailboxes, not from harder sending.
What is the difference between pre-warmed and fresh mailboxes?
A fresh mailbox is created the day you buy it and needs four to six weeks of gradual sending before it can carry a real campaign. A pre-warmed mailbox has already done that. Fresh costs roughly $2 to $3.50 a mailbox, pre-warmed roughly $6 to $8; the gap is the six weeks and the warmup tooling you skip.
Can I buy pre-warmed Outlook or Microsoft 365 mailboxes?
Yes. Every pack can be provisioned on Microsoft 365 instead of Google Workspace, or split across both, and the price is the same either way. Splitting is usually the better call for a large campaign: Outlook and Gmail filter on different signals, so a fleet on one platform means one filtering change can take the whole thing quiet at once. Tell us the split when you order and the domains are divided accordingly.
Can I buy pre-warmed Gmail or Google Workspace mailboxes?
Yes, and Google Workspace is the default. These are licensed Workspace seats with Gmail, Calendar, Drive and Meet attached, not consumer Gmail addresses and not sending aliases on someone else's tenant. A consumer Gmail account cannot carry a custom sending domain properly, and a receiving server can tell the difference immediately.
Is 12 weeks of warmup better than 4 to 6?
Not in any way a receiving server measures. Warmup works by establishing a normal sending pattern and a reputation to attach it to, and that curve flattens after about a month; weeks seven to twelve add very little to what Gmail or Outlook already knows about the domain. What matters far more is whether the warmup was real, meaning genuine opens and replies rather than sends into a loop, and whether anyone will show you the log. Ask any provider quoting a long number for the daily record behind it. If it does not exist, the number is a claim about the calendar, not about the mailbox.
Is there such a thing as a pre-warmed SMTP server?
The phrase usually means one of two different things. Sometimes it means a shared relay whose IP has existing traffic, which does nothing for you because reputation for cold outreach is scored on the sending domain far more than the IP, and a shared IP means inheriting other people's complaint rate. Sometimes it means a warmed mailbox reachable over SMTP, which is what we sell: every mailbox here connects over SMTP or OAuth, so it drops into whatever sequencer you already run.
Where can I buy warmed up email domains?
Domains are not warmed on their own. A domain has no reputation until a mailbox on it sends something, so what is actually for sale anywhere in this market is a domain plus mailboxes that have been sending from it for weeks. Ours come as a pack for that reason, three mailboxes to a domain, with the domain registered in your name. Anyone selling an aged domain with no sending history is selling you a registration date.
How does this compare with pre-warmed accounts bundled into a sequencer?
The pricing is close enough that it is not the deciding factor. Ownership is. Some sequencers that sell pre-warmed accounts keep domain ownership and administrator access and cannot transfer them, which means leaving the tool takes your sending infrastructure with it. Ours registers the domain to you and hands over super admin, so the mailboxes keep working from any sequencer, including Instantly and Smartlead. Check this at whichever provider you are considering, including us, before you pay.
Where can I buy pre-warmed email accounts?
Buy them from a provider that hands over licensed Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 seats on a domain registered to you, with the warmup log and a seed report attached. Getlead sells them in packs of 3, 12 and 30 mailboxes, paid by card on this page with no sales call, and the logins arrive within 48 hours. Wherever you buy, ask for the warmup log, the seed report and the domain transfer in writing before paying.
Is it worth it to buy warmed up email accounts instead of warming your own?
It is when the campaign has a date. Warming your own costs little money but 4 to 6 weeks of calendar before the first real send. Buying warmed up email accounts trades a higher first invoice for those weeks back. With no deadline, warm your own; with a launch, a client or a quarter waiting, the cost of waiting calculator on this page shows what the delay costs in sends and replies.
What is mailbox stacking?
Mailbox stacking is putting many mailboxes on one sending domain to raise daily volume without buying more domains. Gmail and Outlook score reputation per domain, so every stacked mailbox shares one reputation, and one bad list or complaint spike takes all of them down together. The safer pattern is two to three mailboxes per domain and more domains as volume grows; our packs fix it at 3.
Is it safe to buy warmed up email accounts?
Yes, when what you buy is a licensed Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 seat on a domain registered to you, with a warmup log and a seed test behind it. The risk sits elsewhere: shared logins, sending aliases on someone else's tenant, or accounts the seller keeps control of, because you can neither audit them nor move them. Before paying any provider, ask for the daily warmup log, a seed placement report, and written confirmation that the domain and admin access transfer to you.
How long does warmup take, and are pre-warmed mailboxes ready to send on day one?
Warming a fresh mailbox takes 4 to 6 weeks of gradual ramping before it can carry a real campaign. Pre-warmed mailboxes have already run that ramp, so they send real campaigns the day you connect them, at the ramped rate of 30 cold emails a day each. Keep warmup running alongside the campaigns: it is what holds reputation up once real volume starts.
What is the difference between pre-warmed domains and new domains?
A new domain has a registration date and nothing else, so the first cold emails from it are judged with no evidence at all. A pre-warmed domain has mailboxes that have already sent and received mail for weeks, with SPF, DKIM and DMARC in place, so receiving servers have a pattern to score. A new domain needs the same 4 to 6 weeks of warmup before it carries a campaign. Domain age on its own is not a substitute for sending history.
Should I choose Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 pre-warmed mailboxes?
Match the platform to where your prospects read mail. Google Workspace suits lists that lean Gmail and Workspace, typical of startups, SMBs and tech. Microsoft 365 suits lists that lean Outlook, common in enterprise, finance, healthcare and the public sector. For larger campaigns, split the fleet across both, so a filtering change on one platform cannot quiet the whole operation at once.
Do the mailboxes connect over SMTP and IMAP, or only OAuth?
Both. Google Workspace mailboxes connect with OAuth, or with IMAP and SMTP using an app password. Microsoft 365 mailboxes connect with OAuth, or over SMTP once SMTP authentication is enabled, which the admin account you receive lets you switch on. That covers Instantly, Smartlead, Lemlist, Getlead and any sequencer that accepts a custom SMTP account, and because you hold the admin, you can re-authorize them in a new tool whenever you switch.
How many domains and mailboxes do I need for a cold email campaign?
Divide your daily send target by 30 to get mailboxes, then by 3 to get domains. 500 cold emails a day is 18 mailboxes on 6 domains; 1,000 a day is 36 mailboxes on 12 domains. Keep a spare domain or two so a resting domain never stalls the campaign, and use the cold email volume planner to size it from monthly prospects and sequence steps.
