Hi Omar,

Your guide '{{pageTitle}}' links to {{brokenUrl}} in the {{section}} section, and that page now 404s.

We maintain an up-to-date resource on the same topic: {{yourUrl}}. If it fits, it's a one-line swap for your readers.

Either way, figured you'd want to know about the 404.

Hi {{firstName}}, Your {{topic}} resource list is one of the few that's actually curated, most are link dumps. We published {{yourAsset}}: {{oneLineValue}}. It's been cited by {{citation}} already. If it clears your bar, here it is: {{yourUrl}}. No hard feelings if not. {{signature}}

Hi {{firstName}}, We analyzed {{sampleSize}} {{dataSubject}} and found something your readers would care about: {{statistic}}. Full dataset and charts are free to cite with attribution: {{yourUrl}}. Want the summary table for a piece you're working on? {{signature}}

Hi {{firstName}}, Two article ideas your audience hasn't seen on {{site}} yet: 1. {{idea1}} 2. {{idea2}} I wrote {{previousPost}} ({{socialProof}}), and I'd bring the same depth. Full draft on spec, you publish only if it's good. Which idea fits better? {{signature}}

Offer the replacement content in the first email, don't make them ask.

Before sending: verify every address with the free email verifier, check your domain with the deliverability test and run your final copy through the spam test.

Link Building & SEO cold email questions

What is the best link building outreach template?

Templates that lead with value to the editor win: a broken link you found on their page, a resource that fills a real gap in their article or a data point their readers would cite. Pure 'please link to us' asks convert near zero.

What reply rate is normal for link building outreach?

5-10% for well-personalized campaigns, under 1% for spray-and-pray. The difference is reading the target page first: name the exact article, section and why your resource fits. Editors reply to people who clearly did the homework.

How do I find webmaster and editor emails for outreach?

Look up the author or content lead rather than info@ addresses, then verify before sending because stale editorial addresses bounce often. Getlead finds and SMTP-verifies contact emails so your outreach domain reputation stays clean.
